The Department of Christian Social Work has existed since 2006. It offers education in social work at the bachelor's and master's level.

At the bachelor's degree level, the department provides two bachelor's degree programs:

  • Social work in the full-time and part-time form
  • International social and humanitarian work in full-time form

Both programs are offered in cooperation with CARITAS - Higher Vocational Social School in Olomouc based on a partnership arrangement since 2009. The unique collaboration between the two educational institutions allows students to acquire quality theoretical knowledge and develop skills required for practice.

At the master's degree level, candidates are offered a follow-up study program Social work, realised in two specialisations:

  • Social work with families (in full-time and part-time form of study)
  • International social and humanitarian work

Employers already address graduates of the CMTF full-time study programs in the last year of study. Employability of graduates in social work practice is high.  Graduates are prioritised due to their level of competence and identification with the profession of the social worker.

Due to the profile of CMTF, a unique extension to the profiles of faculty graduates is the preparation for social work carried out in church organisations, focused on the Christian concept of man and society.

In the case of humanitarian studies, both at the bachelor's and master's level, the profile of the graduate has formed thanks to the inspiration of the International Program Network on Humanitarian Assistance. Furthermore, due to the active participation of the Department of Christian Social Work- CMTF in unique international projects focused on education in humanitarian and social work (Tuning, EUPRHA, EUHAP, IWB), the profile of the graduate - mainly at master's level - is enhanced with knowledge and skills in international educational frameworks. The profile of graduates of the study programs is in full compliance with the Framework graduate profile specified in Government Decree no. 275/2016 Coll. The profiles of graduates also respect the Minimum Standard of Education in Social Work ASVSP.
